
AIDS-related tuberculous peritonitis - untreated
Colorized sagittal CT scan with contrast enhancement of a 47-year-old male before treatment. It shows symmetrical nodes in the peritoneum and mesentery - "cake-like omentum" - tuberculous peritonitis, dry type. He suffered from HIV (B20) for 36 months prior to the CT scan. A 64-slice CT scanner was used, with the thickness parameter set to 0.5 mm. A 100 ml iodine contrast with V = 5 ml/sec injection was administered prior to the scan.
