Alzheimer's disease. F18-FDG PET in a 74-year-old male patient, sets of axial, sagittal and coronal sections. These images show a diffuse hypometabolism of the cerebral cortex mainly affecting the associative areas of the temporal cortex and temporo-parieto-occipital junctions (in this case predominant on the right) with respect to the sensitive primary-motor and visual areas, the central grey nuclei.
