Aortic coarctation - CT Scan
A VR (virtual reality), 3D-rendering CT scan. A Computed tomography angiography (CTA) scan. A 22-year-old-male patient. Left-sided aortic arch with normal branching is noted. There is abrupt segmental stenosis of descending aorta distal to the origin of the left subclavian artery. It measures 7 mm in diameter in its narrowest part- Aortic coarctation. There is post-stenotic dilatation of the descending aorta. Aorta proximal to the stenosis measures 17 mm in diameter whereas the aorta distal to the stenosis measures 24 mm in diameter.
