Ashy dermatosis and Erythema dyschromicum perstans - brown skin
Ashy dermatosis in a 37-year-old man. Pigmentary disorder of uncertain aetiology is characterized by the development of persistent grey‐blue hypermelanotic cutaneous macules for which no specific cause can be identified. Although initial signs of inflammation with a red, slightly raised and palpably infiltrated margin is being described in White skin, this feature is not identified in brown skin. This patient presented complaining of grey-black patchy darkening of skin over months. Fitzpatrick skin type (FST) phototype 5.
