Australopithecine Skull
Skull of an Australopithecine, 1-2 million years old. This hominid species is closely related to modern humans. They walked on two legs, but had small brains like apes. This specimen is housed in the Koobi Fara museum, Sibiloi National Park, Kenya, one of the leading prehistoric sites to study human evolution.
