Bicuspid aortic valve

A bicuspid aortic valve is the most common congenital aortic valve anomaly. In many patients, a bicuspid aortic valve leads to aortic stenosis, aortic insufficiency and thoracic aortic aneurysm. In presented case a 59 years old male patient with a Sievers type 1 "L-R" bicuspid aortic valve has both aortic stenosis and insufficiency, combined with ascending aortic aneurysm. LCC - left coronary cusp, NCC - noncoronary cusp, RCC - right coronary cusp, raphe - arrow.
