Colorectal cancer with metastases affecting the rib

This is a transverse CT image with contrast enhancement of a 38-year-old male with a history of colorectal cancer. Two years before this scan, this patient had atypical resection of the lower lobe of the right lung with resection of the diaphragm and liver. This scan shows a solid mass in the right 8th rib - metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC). A 64-slice CT scanner was used, with the thickness parameter set to 0.5 mm. A 100 ml iodine contrast with V = 5 ml/sec injection was administered prior to the scan.
