
Cutis marmorata telangiectatica congenita (CMTC)
Cutis marmorata telangiectatica congenita is a rare congenital (typically present at birth) disorder characterized by discolored patches of skin caused by widened (dilated) surface blood vessels. The skin has a purple or blue “marbled” or “fishnet” appearance (cutis marmorata). Notice also a network of livedoid lines with cutaneous atrophy on the lower leg of a male newborn. Fitzpatrick skin type (FST) phototype 4.
