
Degenerative aortic stenosis
A 72 years old patient complained about vertigo, loss of consciousness episodes after walking upstairs, pain behind the sternum & shortness of breath. Intraoperative transesophageal echocardiography before the surgery. ME LAX View (mid-esophageal, long axis). A turbulent, stenotic, systolic flow on the aortic valve is registered during the color Doppler ultrasonography. A mild regurgitation is registered on the mitral valve.
