Double S Scoliosis
A 12-year-old boy with a significant spine deformation, making it difficult for him to sit or walk and causing severe back pain. The curvature of his spine is more prominent on the right side. In this photograph of his right side of the body, from the side, when standing, we see large hump of the thoracic spine - kyphosis, as well as the resulting deformity of the chest in the form of a protrusion of the sternum - "pectus carinatum" type of the thorax. The boy cannot hold his torso independently without the help of a physiotherapist.
