Ashy dermatoses in a 25-year-old woman. Clinically, ashy dermatosis is characterized by numerous macules of varying shades of grey. There may initially be signs of inflammation with a red, slightly raised and palpably infiltrated margin (erythema dyschromicum perstans - EDP), that is being described in White skin. But this feature is not identified in brown skin. Fitzpatrick skin type (FST) phototype 5.
