Granuloma faciale - brown skin
Granuloma faciale is a rare condition characterized by indurated facial plaques (with a predilection for the nose) and a chronic course that is often treatment resistant. A skin biopsy shows characteristic histopathological inflammatory changes enabling the diagnosis to be confirmed. The nodules or plaques are soft and redâbrown. They are smooth, with prominent follicular orifices and telangiectatic surface changes or scaling. The lesions never ulcerate. Fitzpatrick skin type (FST) phototype 5.
