Hidradenitis suppurativa - armpits
A 27 years old male patient with Dg. Hidradenitis suppurativa regio axillaris, (Hurley stage 2). First lesions appeared at the age of 25 in patient's right armpit, followed by the left armpit. Papules, inflammatory nodules, deep abscesses and drainage sinuses from which blood and pus are drained are present in the affected areas. A mild erythema (redness, contact dermatitis) that is present above and below the axilla is not caused by the disease, but by an aseptic solution, used to clean the axillary areas prior to the photograph was taken.
