Hip joints - osteonecrosis
A 48-year-old female patient visited the hospital, due to hip pain closer to the right. She was able to walk independently, without aids, but with severe hip pain. An X-ray exam was performed and found osteonecrosis of both hips. Osteonecrosis is also called avascular necrosis (AVN) or aseptic necrosis. 3 months following the initial examination, this patient could no longer lean on her right hip. She walked with the help of an aid, with severe pain in her right hip. This X-Ray clearly shows bone changes on her right hip. During the same 3 months interval, she suffered from the Covid-2019 virus and received a large dose of corticosteroids for 10 days, in accordance with the protocol.
