Intrascleral and intraocular forein body

Preoperative photograph of left eye trauma in a 14-year-old boy, who was injured accidentally with a copper wire. The wire entered the nasal part of the sclera, 4-5 mm from the corneoscleral limbus, missing the crystalline lens. The wire was surgically removed, which was partially 4 mm out of the globe and partially presented as an intraocular foreign body. This was confirmed with an ultrasound scan, posteriorly and next to the ciliary body of approximately 5mm.
