Laser Pointer Maculopathy
OCT (Optical coherence tomography) scan of a 12-year-old teenager after laser pointer eye damage. This OCT shows macular edema, subretinal scar and retinal pigment epithelium disorders. The best-corrected visual acuity is 10/60 with paracentral scotoma. These findings are consistent with scars in the pigment epithelium as a result of a thermal laser injury.
