Lichen planus pigmentosus - brown skin
Lichen planus pigmentosus (LPP) in a 54-year-old woman. LPP is a pigmentary disorder seen in India or in the Middle East, which may or may not be associated with typical LP papules. The macular hyperpigmentation involves chiefly the face, neck and upper limbs, although it can be more widespread, and varies from slate grey to brownish black. It is mostly diffuse, but reticular, blotchy and perifollicular forms are seen. Fitzpatrick skin type (FST) phototype 5.
