Liver metastasis of medullary carcinoma of thyroid gland 28y
A female patient 28 years old, underwent surgery for medullary thyroid cancer 4 years prior to this scan. She felt nausea & occasionally vomited. Following an ultrasound scan, diffuse changes in the liver were noticed. AFTER the 2 months long treatment, the patient underwent an abdomen MRI scan to assess the response to applied therapy. On this MRI scan, utilising T1W dual FFE (T1 weighted dual Fast Field Echo) axial tomogram, we see that the liver is of normal configuration and position, smooth contour, with cystic subcapsular metastatic lesions. A good response to the applied therapy!
