Liver metastasis of medullary carcinoma of thyroid gland 28y
A female patient 28 years old, underwent surgery for medullary thyroid cancer 4 years prior to this scan. She felt nausea & occasionally vomited. Following an ultrasound scan, diffuse changes in the liver were noticed. AFTER the 2 months long treatment, the patient underwent an abdomen MRI scan to assess the response to applied therapy. On this MRI scan, utilising T1W post-contrast (T1 weighted) axial tomogram we can see that the liver is of normal configuration and position, smooth contour with the largest metastatic change in S6. A good response to the applied therapy!
