Liver metastasis of medullary carcinoma of thyroid gland 64y

A male patient, 64 years old, underwent surgery for medullary thyroid cancer in the past. He also had a laparoscopic intervention of liver metastasis which was pathohistologically confirmed. AFTER the treatment, which took 11 months, the patient underwent an MRI of the abdomen also, to assess the response to applied therapy. On this MRI scan, utilising post-contrast T1 VIBE FS (T1 weighted Volumetric Interpolated Breath-hold Examination FS) axial tomogram in the liver we can see a good post-therapeutic response, exists visibly reduced secondary deposits by number and size, without clearly visible newly formed lesions.
