LIVER NODULE, SONOGRAPHY
The liver is a gland connected to the digestive tract. The liver is a processing organ, transforming or synthesizing substances needed by the organism. Certain substances entering the liver via the hepatic artery are transformed and excreted into the bile then the intestine. Other substances are synthesized or stored in the liver. This is an ultrasonography of a liver showing a shadow, signifying the presence of a nodule.
