Lung TB due to old age and loss of immunity
An 89 years old man, underwent a chest X-Ray scan in the posterior-anterior (PA ) projection, standing position. He complained of fatigue and prolonged cough (dry and irritating) with no sputum in the last 3 months. Night sweats and weight loss are accompanied by persistent coughing. On this colorized chest X-Ray we can see diffuse, massive, confluent soft tissue shadows in all pulmonary fields bilaterally, predominantly to the right, which differentially diagnostically corresponds to the consolidations of the lung parenchyma of inflammatory etiologx, granulomatosis. Both hemidiaphragms are clearly contoured. Costophrenic sinuses are free.
