Mucocele of the appendix
A 91-year-old-female patient. Frontal CT scan with contrast enhancement. Notice is a well-defined cystic lesion in the right iliac fossa, measuring 44 x 52 mm, with peripheral rim enhancement, seemingly connected to the cecum and surrounded by minimal perilesional fatty stranding. A clear case of mucocele of the appendix or appendiceal mucocele, as it is also known.
