Mucocele on tongue
Mucoceles represent one of the most common lesions of the oral cavity, developing as a result of saliva accumulation. The most frequently affected area is the lower lip, followed by the floor of the mouth, ventral tongue and buccal mucosa. This is a case of a mucocele on the ventral surface of the tongue in a 9 year old girl. A pre-op photo.
