Normal Brain and Meningioma

On the left is an MRI scan (T2 weighted, axial view) of the normal brain of a 54-year-old female. On the right is an axial MRI showing the typical appearance of an olfactory groove meningioma. Meningiomas are benign tumors arising from the covering of the brain. These generally have a good prognosis.
