OCT in exudative age-related macular degeneration

A 77 years old male patient. Optical coherence tomography (OCT) retina map of the left eye. This OCT scan shows a macula with a Choroidal NeoVascularisation (CNV). CNV is a characteristic feature of exudative Age-related Macular Degeneration (eAMD) and is characterised by the growth of abnormal blood vessels from the choroid through the Bruch's membrane. Cystic retinal edema can also be observed.
