Onychomadesis (nail shedding)
A young man, 34 years old, since he learned that he suffers from penile cancer, experienced stress that has been present for the past 2 years. Prolonged stress & chemotherapy led to changes in the nail plates, damage and lack of them on all fingers of the left hand, partial nail shedding with new nail growth and Beau lines. Beau’s lines are horizontal indentations, or ridges, that develop across the nails and they usually run straight interrupted at the nail matrix — the place where your nail emerges from your finger. Fitzpatrick skin type (FST) phototype 2.
