Open traumatic leg wound
A circular traumatic open wound, spreading in full diameter around the shin and calf of the patient’s leg. The patient, male, 52 years old, was admitted to ER after rolling lumber hit his leg while working in the woods. Initially, the wood broke his both fibula and left him with an open wound which soon caught an infection and afterwards necrotic damage to his shin and calf muscles. Preoperative image before any treatment was performed. Fitzpatrick skin type (FST) phototype 3.
