Papillary thyroid cancer pleural metastases
A 56 years old female patient with a history of papillary thyroid cancer 12 months after thyroidectomy. This contrast-enhanced CT scan (taken BEFORE chemotherapy) of the chest, abdomen and pelvis demonstrates diffuse pleural thickening on the left, multiple small nodular enhancing pleural lesions, measuring on average 0.3 - 0.6cm in diameter, typical of pleural metastases. Prominent mediastinal lymph nodes, highly suspicious of nodal metastases.
