Papillary thyroid cancer pleural metastases
A 56 years old female patient with a history of papillary thyroid cancer 12 months after thyroidectomy. Here we see contrast-enhanced CT scans of the chest, abdomen and pelvis. Side-to-side comparison of BEFORE (right side of the image) and 6 weeks AFTER (left side) chemotherapy. Pleural metastatic nodules shrank, baseline diameters: 0.3 x 0.4cm, diameters on the post-chemo scan: 0.2 x 0.3cm. Suspicious mediastinal lymph nodes decreased in size by at least 50%.
