
Penicillium Mold
Penicillin chrysogenum (aka Penicillium notatum) producing toxin shown as yellow droplets. This mold is the source of the β-lactam antibiotics including penicillin, and other secondary metabolites such as roquefortine C, meleagrin, chrysogine, xanthocillins, secalonic acids, sorrentanone, sorbicillin, and PR-toxin.
