Pulmonary Mycobacterium avium complex infection - untreated - first-time detected

This is a coronal, maximum intensity projection (MIP) CT image with contrast enhancement of a 59-year-old non-smoker female. It shows a right middle lobe (medial bronchopulmonary segment - S5) fibrocavitary pattern - Lady Windermere Syndrome (LWS). Noticeable are centrilobular nodules in a "tree in the bud" in the right upper lobe, nodules in both upper lobes, bronchiectasis, and bronchial wall thickening. The Mycobacterium avium complex was isolated. A 64-slice CT scanner was used, with the thickness parameter set to 10 mm. A 100 ml iodine contrast with V = 5 ml/sec injection was administered prior to the scan.
