Pulmonary sequestration
Oblique axial reconstruction colored CT scan of a 28-year female with recurrent hemoptysis shows anomalous systemic arterial supply and area of ‘‘pseudo-sequestration’’ to the posterobasal segment of the left lower pulmonary lobe. The feeding artery arises from the descending aorta. A 128-slice CT scanner was used, with the thickness parameter set to 0.5 mm. A 100 ml iodine contrast with V = 5 ml/sec injection was administered prior to the scan.
