Renal cell carcinoma - bone metastasis
A frontal CT scan with contrast enhancement of a 55-year-old male shows an expansive lesion with lytic destructive masses, with the formation of extraosseous soft tissue masses of the sacrum-bone metastases. 12 months before the CT scan, he had undergone a nephrectomy on the left side for renal cell carcinoma of the left kidney. A 64-slice CT scanner was used, with the thickness parameter set to 0.5 mm. A 100 ml iodine contrast with V = 5 ml/sec injection was administered prior to the scan.
