Spinal cord contusion (SCC)

A 54-year-old female patient with head and neck trauma, caused by a fall. On admission, she was quadriparetic, GCS 15. Here we see a colored MRI of the cervical spine shows a hyperintense signal on T2 and acute disc herniation on C4/C5. She was operated immediately, ACDF C4/C5 and laminectomy C3-C5. After the operation, there was improvement in neurological finding, but still with quadriparesis.
