Optical coherence tomography (OCT) scan of a 56-year-old male patient with stage 2 macular hole. The small full-thickness tear arises at an eccentric position. The posterior cortical vitreous is still attached at the fovea. Note the presence of intraretinal cystoid spaces around the edges of the hole. BCVA 20/40.
