Stellate nonhereditary idiopathic foveomacular retinoschisis
A 65 years old female patient applied for a reading glasses prescription. BCVA of the both eyes was 20/25. OCT scan of the right eye shows a foveomacular retinoschisis with characteristic splitting of the outer plexiform layer. SLO image shows radial spoking around the fovea. This condition has been recently described as a new category of stellate foveal retinoschisis in which there is no evidence of hereditary or acquired predisposing condition as well as at the case presented above.
