Subcapsular hematoma due to spleen malformation
3D-rendering CLUT (Color Look-Up Table) CT frontal scan of a 51-year-old male with chronic lymphatic leukemia. Spleen: enlarged to 10 x 12 x 17 cm size (wings of the iliac bones), swelling of the parenchyma due to hemorrhage. Subcapsular in the lower pole of the spleen - hematoma up to 3 x 2 cm. In the lower pole of the spleen malformation, measuring 4 x 3 x 4 cm. Structure: heterogeneous, including expanded, deformed vessels. Contrast: deep for 30 seconds, in the center for 90 seconds. Notice also hepatosplenomegaly and enlarged mesenteric lymph nodes due to chronic lymphatic leukemia. A 64-slice CT scanner was used, with the thickness parameter set to 0.625 mm. A 100 ml iodine contrast with V = 5 ml/sec injection was administered prior to the scan.
