TAR Syndrome
A female, one and half-month old baby, born following an adequately managed and controlled pregnancy. Notice deficiencies of upper extremities, which were visible immediately after the birth, including congenital thrombocytopenia. She was diagnosed with Thrombocytopenia Absent Radius (TAR) syndrome at birth. This photo shows the right shoulder with the upper arm and the hand with five fingers. The thumb on the right hand appears to be normally developed.
