TAR Syndrome
A female, one and half-month old baby, born following an adequately managed and controlled pregnancy. Notice deficiencies of upper extremities, which were visible immediately after the birth, including congenital thrombocytopenia. She was diagnosed with Thrombocytopenia Absent Radius (TAR) syndrome at birth. This photo shows the baby's left shoulder, and the baby's left hand is bent, showing four fingers. The fifth finger is hardly visible and not yet developed.
