
Third Degree thermal burn
Full-thickness (third-degree) thermal burn injury of a young male patient's left forearm affecting the wrist. The affected skin appears dry, translucent and leathery with the thrombosed superficial veins prominently visible. Such burns are painless due to destroyed terminal nerve endings. Fitzpatrick Skin Type 5.
