Thoracic aorta false aneurysm
Aortic pseudoaneurysm (false aneurysm) is defined as a dilatation of the aorta due to the disruption of all wall layers, which is only contained by the periaortic connective tissue. A 52-year-old male patient presented with descending thoracic aorta false aneurysm during late follow-up after descending thoracic aortic replacement due to the coarctation of the aorta, and severe aortic insufficiency. Contrast-enhanced CT, including axial and MPR reformations, showed a saccular descending thoracic aortic pseudoaneurysm containing a thrombus.
