
Tuberculate supernumerary tooth
The supernumerary tooth is the most common dental anomaly found in children and adolescent but the tuberculate type of these teeth are less frequently seen. The tuberculate type of supernumerary teeth has got more than one cusps on their crown. They rarely erupt into the oral cavity and may cause impaction of the maxillary central incisors. In this case, we see a tuberculate supernumerary tooth that was extracted from a 9 year old girl.
