DREPANOCYTOSIS, X-RAY

Sickle-cell anemia is a hemolytic anemia due to a congenital malformation of the red blood cells. The cells have a characteristic sickle shape. This disease of the hemoglobin is found mostly amongst people of black African origin. One of the complications of sickle-cell anemia is osteonecrosis.
