Hardwicke's woolly bat at Pitcher Plant

A Hardwicke's woolly bat {Kerivoula hardwickii} inspects a pitcher plant (Nepenthes ampullaria) as a potential roosting site. This species of pitcher plant is used only by desperate bats when preferred alternatives are unabailable. They lack a cap to shield bats from rain and are normally nearly full of water. They can be used for roosting only when drained of water. It is unkown whether small holes at the bottom that drain water are made by bats or other animals.
