MALE CARYOTYPE
To establish a karyotype, the chromosome content of cells is analysed to detect any anomaly or to determine the nature of a known anomaly. Chromosomes handed down by the father and the mother form pairs, evidenced on cells. The karyotype shows the arrangement of these chromosomes. Human beings have 46 chromosomes : 26 pairs + 1 pair of sexual chromosomes called X and Y.
