Pseudomembranous colitis. Splenectomy. Hepatomegaly - CT Scans
Frontal CT scan with contrast enhancement. A 35-year-old-female patient. Mural thickening and submucosal edema of the entire colon with significant pericolonic stranding - Pseudomembranous colitis. Notice a volume of intermediate density 19HU free intraperitoneal fluid, located predominantly in the perihepatic, perisplenic and pelvic spaces. No dilated loops of bowel. No free intraperitoneal gas. The liver is significantly enlarged - Hepatomegaly. The spleen has been removed (Splenectomy).
