Cloning is a genetic manipulation. The chromosomes (genes) of one cell are transferred to another cell producing an exact copy of the first cell. A living being can be cloned by grafting a cell nucleus into a very young embryo egg after removing its nucleus just after fertilization. The individual derived from this egg will have the exact same genetic material as the implanted nucleus.
